New-Gen BMW X2: A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming SUV

The German-based carmaker BMW is all set to introduce the much-awaited second-generation BMW X2 globally soon. Ahead of the official launch, the brand has already dropped the teaser of the upcoming SUV across all the social media platforms, revealing the front profile and some of the styling details about the vehicle.

However, the company did not share the launch-related details as yet. But, the company’s chairman, Oliver Zipse, during the annual conference held in March, revealed that the car will hit the market at the end of this year.

As per the details revealed in the teaser, it has been learned that the upcoming second-generation BMW X2 will come with a massive illuminated kidney-shaped grille, paired with the LED headlight setup. Going by the teasers, it seems like the new X2 is likely to ditch the current uplifted hatchback styling and might flaunt the BMW X4 and the X6-inspired coupe-like appearance in the market.

Apart from this, the vehicle will also get a sweeping roofline, which looks quite identical to the feature-loaded X4 and powerful X6 models. If rumors are to be believed, the car is likely to feature an integrated rear spoiler, C-shaped LED DRLs, high-mounted taillights, and more.

The teaser did not reveal anything about the interior. However, it is believed that the upcoming generation might share the luxury cabin, similar to the X1, featuring a 10.25-inch digital driver display Curved Display with a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support all the car connect technology.

BMW’s next-gen X2 is likely to hit the market in both petrol and diesel engine options. Customers can also expect the hybrid option, which will churn out a maximum output ranging from 167 bhp to 321 bhp. Apart from this, it has also been confirmed that the coupe-style SUV will be offered in a fully electric avatar.
