BYD India celebrated its 16th anniversary in the country with a remarkable achievement – the delivery of 200 units of the Atto 3 electric Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) in a single day. Customers in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kochi were the fortunate recipients of these cutting-edge electric vehicles.
The BYD Atto 3 e-SUV is priced at a starting point of Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It is available in two versions: the extended range and the special edition. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India, expressed his gratitude, saying, “This milestone reflects our 16 years of dedication and commitment in India and emphasizes BYD India’s dedication to a greener tomorrow. BYD Atto 3 e-SUV: Exterior And Interior Features
The exterior of the BYD Atto 3 boasts a distinct design with a blanked-off silver front grille, sleek wing-shaped LED DRLs, a trapezoidal-styled dual-tone bumper, a faux silver skid plate, and BYD branding on the grille. The side profile is enhanced by 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a silver finish on the C-pillar, and blacked-out wheel arches. At the rear, you’ll find a robust dual-tone bumper, a roof-mounted spoiler, and full-length LED tail-lamps.
Inside the cabin, the BYD Atto 3 offers a tech-savvy experience with a 12.8-inch rotating central screen equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other interior features include door-mounted circular speakers, a wireless charger, powered front driver and passenger seats, a 5.0-inch digital instrument cluster, stylish air-conditioning vents, a powered tailgate, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety is a top priority, with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, hill descent control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS), traction control, and hill descent control as part of its safety suite.
BYD Atto 3 e-SUV: Battery And ARAI-Certified Range
The heart of the BYD Atto 3 is its impressive battery system. With an ARAI-certified range of 521 kilometers, thanks to its 60.48 kWh battery, this SUV is ready for long journeys. The electric motor delivers a peak output of 198 horsepower and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. When using a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 50 minutes. Charging at home is also convenient, taking approximately 9.5 to 10 hours to reach an 80 percent charge.
BYD introduced the Atto 3 electric SUV to the Indian market in November 2022. The base variant starts at Rs 33.99 lakh, while the top model is priced at Rs 34.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With seating for up to five people, the Atto 3 promises a comfortable and eco-friendly ride.
