According to reports, Harshita has completed her schooling at Loreto Convent, Lucknow. After this, she obtained her LLB degree from the National Law University of Punjab. Harshita has always been a University topper. She had won eight gold medals at the University.

Family Background

Talking about Harshita’s family, her mother is a housemaker as well as a social worker. Her father, Vinod Bhakuni, was a senior scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He was awarded the Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award. Harshita has a brother named Abhyudaya, who is a software engineer in America.

Her Unique Preparation Strategy

Harshita was very clear from the very beginning about the preparation strategies for the PCS-J exam. Instead of enrolling in the coaching center, she made up her own strategy. She used to study for eight to ten hours every day. She used to practice writing for half an hour every day for the preparation of Mains. After completing her LLB, Harshita got a job offer from a big law firm in Delhi with a package of Rs 27 lakh. She accepted it. After working for some time, she soon realized that it was not giving her satisfaction. She wanted to help and serve people, which she was not able to do with this job. Even though she was earning more than Rs 2 lakh a month, she decided to leave it. Then suddenly, one day, she decided to appear for the Civil Judge Recruitment Examination. First, she was selected for MP PCS J, where she ranked 27th. She wanted to become a judge in UP. So she appeared for the UPPSC PCS-J exam and cracked it on her very first attempt with a 6th rank.
