Technical (Electrical/Electronics)

The Technical (Electrical/Electronics) position is available for male applicants, and candidates should have an engineering degree from a recognized university or institute in electronics or telecommunications or another relevant degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

Law Entry

Applicants require a degree in law from a recognized university or institute with an aggregate of 60% marks.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

  1. Stage 1: Computer-Based Online Screening Test (CGCAT) – Except for the law branch.
  2. Stage 2: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) based on performance in Stage 1.
  3. Stage 3: Final Selection Board, including a psychological test, group task, and interview.
  4. Stage 4: Medical Examination.
  5. Stage 5: Induction.

Salary

The salary for Assistant Commandants in the Indian Coast Guard ranges from Rs 56,100 to Rs 2,25,000, depending on the post and eligibility.
