Eligibility Criteria

It’s important to note that for SC/ST category candidates, there is a five-year relaxation in the maximum age limit, while OBC category candidates are granted a three-year relaxation.

Selection Process

The Indian Coast Guard sailor recruitment follows a four-stage evaluation process to ensure the best candidates are selected:

  2. Physical fitness test, including a 1.6-kilometer run in 7 minutes, along with 20 sit-ups and 10 push-ups
  3. Document verification
  4. Medical examination held at INS Chilka
