Kia to Raise Prices of Seltos and Carens SUVs

The South Korean car manufacturer, Kia, recently refreshed its SUV and MPV lineup with the introduction of the Seltos Facelift and Carens. These additions received a warm reception from customers. However, starting from October, Kia is planning to increase the prices of both these vehicles.

Impact on Prices

Reports suggest that this price hike will affect both the base and top models. The lower trims may see an increase of approximately Rs 20,000, while the top-of-the-line models could become costlier by Rs 40,000. Kia has not yet disclosed the new pricing details.

Kia’s Official Statement

Hardeep Brar, the National Head (Sales and Marketing) at Kia India, confirmed the price hike. He explained that this decision was necessitated by the rising production costs. Many other car manufacturers had already increased their prices post-April, but Kia had held off until now. With the soaring prices of raw materials, the company had no choice but to adjust its pricing.
