TVS Motor Company has unveiled its highly anticipated electric scooter, the TVS X, in Dubai. Priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), deliveries are set to commence in November, initially in Bengaluru and later in 15 other cities. The scooter features a contemporary design with sleek LED lights and is built on the XLETON platform.

Key features of the TVS X include:

  • A spacious 19-liter utility box
  • A unique 10-inch TFT instrument cluster that doubles as an entertainment hub
  • 175mm ground clearance
  • 770mm rider seat height

It offers three riding modes: Xtride, Xtealth, and Xonic. The Hill Hold Control enhances safety, while the ram-cooled electric motor accelerates from 0-40 kmph in just 2.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 105 kmph with a range of 140 km. The scooter supports charging up to 80 percent in 3 hours and 40 minutes with both portable and rapid charger options.

Simple ONE – Made-in-India Excellence

Simple Energy, a prominent Indian EV startup, has introduced its debut electric two-wheeler, the Simple ONE, with a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Super EV model, which includes a 750W charger, is available at Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom). This Made-in-India e-scooter offers an impressive 212 km range, the longest in the country, and accelerates from 0-40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds.

The company has also enhanced its existing lineup, offering 115-km and 145-km range variants for the 450X model, priced at Rs 1.38 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh, respectively.

River Indie – The Homegrown Marvel

River, the domestic electric vehicle company, has unveiled its inaugural e-scooter, the ‘Indie,’ produced at its new manufacturing hub in Hoskote, Karnataka. While the exact price will soon be revealed, it’s currently available for pre-order in Bengaluru at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The impressive 120,000 square feet facility can produce 100,000 units annually and showcases innovative automated assembly lines for batteries and vehicles.

River is also constructing an experiential center in Bengaluru, set to open in November, providing a unique opportunity for customers to engage with the brand.
